I noticed that /tmp cleanup had been broken on GuixSD for some time
(maybe since the service rewrite, although I’d be surprised we didn’t
notice earlier.) That is, files in /tmp would survive reboots.
Commit 94af9da fixes it, and be7be9e moves it to a separate service.
