The x86_64 is fine; it was a configuration problem related to the pure
64-bit nature of my set-up. I was a tad too literal, and just
cut-and-pasted your configure command without considering what I usually do:
../gcc/configure -prefix=/opt/gcc-gomp --enable-shared
--enable-threads=posix --enable-__cxa_atexit --disable-checking
--disable-multilib --enable-languages=c,c++,f95 --host=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
The --disable-multilib option was required to make the boostrap work.
Nothing wrong with your library.
The code looks fine to me. I'd go ahead and commit it.
