Actually, parameters do support such a thing in their markup. A <parameter> 
tag can specify a source="datasourceName" tag, which was to generate a 
dropdown on the parameter popup form. 

There are no examples out there that I know of using this source=".." tag 
since there was no parameter form to take advantage of it, but we definitely 
planned on this feature.
