[Gnu-arch-users] mirroring an archive using ftp (not sftp)

Hello,

I am trying to set up a mirror for a project I am working on but my
webserver does not allow sftp access.  I have read that it is possible
to set up the mirror over regular ftp but I am not sure how to do it.

I have tried 

$tla make-archive --listing --mirror address@hidden
ftp://address@hidden/www/www/project/{arch}

but I get:

ftp_client_connect: ftp error connecting to host.com
    530: 331 Password required for loginname.
530 Login incorrect.

It never prompts me for a password..  

Any help is appreciated,
