Arch requires a quite current diffutils -- 2.8.1 is certainly good, as
are some older versions, but certainly not the one packaged with Debian

I'll get a newer diff, and retry compiling arch this evening when i get
home.


Thank you all for your answers.
After installing the diff_2.8.4-0.0_i386.deb package I've been able to compile and install tla with no other problems.
