That would be anywhere from 5 to 20 times a day that I would have to add
that header by hand. Frankly it would be easier to set up a procmail
script that /dev/nulls people that habitually cc me and the list.

The simple fact of the matter is that I've got a peeve about people using
a private medium to post public messages. As my signature implies, these
messages are unsolicited (otherwise known as spam).

I interpret people sending me a *private* copy of *public* mail as pretty
darn rude. What's more, I think some people (I'm not going to name names
here) actually do it out of spite. I can actually *feel* them saying "Aha!
Here's a chance to stick it to that bastard"

Let me flip the question on the side for you. How many more hours a day,
how many more gigabytes of bandwidth a day, how many more missed evenings
with my family, do I have to spend for people to be nice enough to say
"Ok. Sure. You've been a nice enough guy to enough people that I can
humor you on this one?" Now, granted, some people are pricks just to be
pricks, but I'd like to think that in *this* community, we all try pretty
hard to get along with one another and tolerate each other's quirks.

This is my quirk. Humor me. Just take my name off the CC: list and say to
yourself "Hey! I just did a small thing that made one particular person
happier!"
