Here are some examples for starters:
OK behaviour:
$ tla ancestry-graph --previous no-such--branch--0--patch-200
no-such--branch--0--patch-199
$ tla ancestry-graph --previous no-such--branch--0--version-0
not a directory
(/home/johannes/public_html/tla-arch/address@hidden/no-such/no-such--branch/no-such--branch--0)
$ tla ancestry-graph --previous
address@hidden/no-such--branch--0--patch-200
no-such--branch--0--patch-199
$ tla ancestry-graph --previous
address@hidden/no-such--branch--0--version-0
not a directory
(/home/johannes/public_html/tla-arch/address@hidden/no-such/no-such--branch/no-such--branch--0)
So far its consistent with the promise of showing 'the (namespace)
previous revision'
But now:
$ tla ancestry-graph --previous
address@hidden/no-such--branch--0--patch-200
archive not registered: address@hidden
(see register-archive)
So there. Why does it require an archive to exist if all we want is the
namespace previous revision?
I think this behaviour is broken, and should be changed, so that
archives are not required to be registered. The archive should not be
accessed at all, if it is not required. Then, change the documentation
to:
-p, --previous show the (namespace) previous revision;
only access the archive for version-0 revisions
That behaviour would be consistent with exporting the namespace
functions out of tla.
