Hi,

I am using Huawei e220 via USB.

Here is my config in .gnokiirc

                [global]

                model = AT

                port = /dev/ttyUSB0

                connection = serial

I am using gnokii 0.6.30 and smsd from tarball.

Here is the gnokii --version result.

Here is the result of the gnokii --identify.

GNOKII Version 0.6.30

IMEI         : xxxxxxxx3448620

Manufacturer : huawei

No flags section in the config file.

Model        : E156G

Product name : E156G

Revision     : 11.608.05.00.00

Here is the summary of the problem.

I have been using gnokii for quite sometime and never get this error. But right now I am having trouble on how to get this done.
The gnokii and smsd was used to Email2SMS alert for our team. But unfortunately the smsd stops because it cannot detect the huawei e220 anymore and I never remove it since I attached it to the usb port.

Here is the error of the smsd:

gnokii I/O error: Input/output error

lowlevel.c:461 error: 14, Device not ready.

But right after I disconnect and reconnect the huawei USB it is detected again. If I leave it connected the same thing will happen.

I cannot disconnect and reconnect it during week ends because gnokii and smsd is used for our alerts.

Please help me on this.

Thank you very much.
