Communication with siemens phone using infrared port.

Hi, all

 I want to code a program which will get short messages from siemens phone 
through infrared port, and this program will run on PPC(Compaq ipaq).
 Where can I find the related specs, such as the protocol to communication 
with siemens phone through infrared port?
