OSS needs that small patch to compile on NetBSD and i am sure if tweaking ioctl() that way is correct. It doensì't play. I haven't tested libao backend yet.Actually, with ALSA and OSS we are quite "served" as far as backends go.How about your *BSD systems ?
FreeBSD8+gcc works, FreeBSD9+clang compiles, doesn't start. OpenBSD plays with OSS but not with sndio and has a very high CPU usage. I'll write a summary email later. Riccardo
By the way, could you apply the following patch ? The referenced directories aren't there and this breaks the 'clean' and 'distclean' targets.
