Even that is not going to help you on a different platform, since you won't have the EXACT SAME VERSION of the font that was/is used on Windows! There are multiple versions/flavors of Helvetica floating around - and even between revs of a given flavor, there can be differences in the metrics (hinting not with standing).

So unless you have the EXACT SAME FONT FILES that the document author did, you are NOT guaranteed the same metrics and layout - sorry!
