My reasoning was as follows:

http://www.freetype.org/license.html says:
The FreeType License <...> <is> not compatible with the GPL".

So, I concluded the user must
1) *either* choose GPL license
2) *either* choose FTL license

In case (1) dependent software should be GPL as well (as per GPL license).
In case (2) the dependent software cannot be GPL (due to the
incompatible licenses).

So I did not see how by selecting Freetype the other (dependent)
software could be a mix of GPL and closed-source software.

I assume the web site is not on par with the current licensing
situation, or I am I making a fool of myself again not thinking
straight here?
