I'm afraid I don't.

If its a pure text file, then it could be generated in ebcdic, but you'd 
need to know that, but as long as you copied it in "text" (FTP in text 
mode, for example so that EBCDIC to ASCII happens) it would work. 
Possibly also depends on whether these are web-viewable and what the 
mime type implies about the code page. For example if you generate a 
HTML page on z/os, you obviously generate it in EBCDIC and the web 
serber and web browser between them contrive to make sure that you get a 
correctly converted file.
