[Devel] Font conversion?

Greetings all! I can see that the FreeType Lib can be used to load (i.e.
file stream) a font file and to parse the file into a FT_Face object. Is it
then possible to write the FT_Face object back to a disk file through
another Module? In other words, are there mechanisms in place that would
allow font file type conversion? I didn't see any way to do this, but
perhaps I am just not thinking rightly about the design approach.
