[Devel] Dingbats in FreeType?

Hi Folks,
         I'm a core developer for AbiWord. Congratulations on such fine
software! We make extensive use of your libraries via XFT2 and
gnome-print.

However I can't make glyphs from Abobe's Dingbat Type 1 fonts display.

I'm feeding XFT2 the unicode values of the Dingbats glyphs (the same way
we do for Abobe Type 1 "Standard Symbols L" fonts which works fine) but
nothing gets displayed.

Is this a FreeType 2 bug?
