mpuz hangs

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

mpuz occasionally locks up.  That is a nuisance.

Something like

(require 'mpuz)
(dotimes (i 50000) (mpuz-random-puzzle))

almost never terminates because of a bug in selecting the appropriate
numbers.  I am checking in the following fix:
