That's the problem: with the "select on no-move" or "select after delay",
you'll be making the common case (i.e. move the mouse pointer to select
another window) less reliable. Your experience sows that this common is
*a lot more* common than the problem you report. And the problem you report
can already be circumvented by moving your mouse around the upper window.
I think the current tradeoff looks pretty good,
