It's a bug in vc-hg-dir-status (and in vc-hg-dir-state). I fixed it.

No opinion here. PCL-CVS calls it *cvs*, and it does not seem like a big
issue when using it.

Good idea. Not sure what is the best way to do this. Feel free to change
