I have tried to restore the data to /mnt/boot/restored. But I'm not sure
what duplicity did. The only thing it created was

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 5 2010-09-13 14:08 /mnt/boot/restored -> /boot

and /boot is empty. /boot also belongs to the rescue system somehow, I
don't want to write anything into there.

When I restore the data to /tmp/boot, it doesn't create anything at all...
