BTW, reading the pages with NSImage and presenting them in an image view
is exactly what GPSText does. If you tell me where I can find a Debian
.deb or SuSE .rpm with the right version of GS (i.e. with the pngalpha
device), then I can add this device to GPSText. This is not difficult. I
have GPL Ghostscript 8.01 (2004-01-30), which does not have the pngalpha
device.
