I've just looked at Notes/Rests->Transpose Music

and I see that "half tone up" does go from F to G-flat
which is a diminished second. There is no unique meaning to "half tone
up" unfortunately.

however Abitrary Transpose Up allows you to enter

c cis

which does an augmented unison, which is what you want I think (e.g. F
goes to F-sharp)
