I think the .debs will make a big impact on take-up of Denemo. The
automagic update I would not encourage yet - it can be upsetting if the
behaviour of a program you are using changes without warning, and we
haven't got a test infrastructure active: we need feedback on new
releases.

It doesn't really depend on whether Adam has moved away from the project
or is just out of touch (e.g. because of technical problems). In either
case he won't mind if we contact sourceforge and ask to be made
administrators of Denemo there, at least until he returns - we would
ideally have liked to have talked to him about becoming administrators
on savannah (though he did say in an earlier email that he was open to
someone else posting up the releases there). If we contact Sourceforge
they will try and contact Adam, much as happened on savannah. I didn't
see how to contact sourceforge on a quick look at the site though.
