Geia,
A quick solution would be to reinstall windows.
When installing over an existing installation, registry settings
etc are preserved. You won't have to reinstall any programs, but
you may have to tune your display settings again and/or reinstall
some system updates (eg directx).
This surely isn't the best solution you can get, but it'll work.
