HI
ANNOUNCE:
Here is the new CBD patch. It has been tested and works with linux
kernel 2.4.0 with kernel patch cbd-2.4.0-1.tar.gz (See
www.infomatec.de/cbd for more info). The patch date of CVS is
2000-01-22.
to be added to Change.log
"Added Compressed Block Device Support Shaun Savage"
Please check if I configured the configure.in and Makefile.am
correctly.
BUG:
During the compile I turned disabled fat, ffs, minix.reiserfs and I found
the in stage2/builtins.c line 458 has fat_mount even with FAT support
turned off. I did a #ifdef FSYS_FAT around it.
UPDATE DOC:
Also in the documentation disk_read_hook needs to be set. In the docs
it states debug_fs.
Also the read_func needs to return a zero 0 if (len == 0)
TODO:
1> Now I am going to work on adding dynamic values to kernel
command-line. Multi boot OS have modules that can be loaded but linux
does not. But I would like to pass information fron the GRUB to the
kernel.
2> I also am going to work on making the menu/boot screen fancy
(consumer eye candy).
Any ideas here would help.
