msgid only in ascii

Hello,

I couldn't help but write you about the conception mistake in the late versions 
of gettext. The idea, that the msgid must be in ascii code sounds strange to 
me, because gettext is universal and I usually write in iso-8859-2 and 
translate my programs into english or ... and not vice versa. What shall I do? 
I have to use an old version, for example 0.10.35 is quite good. 

Such limitations seems to me harmful, when you aren't  English.
