Hi,
This error message indicates a bug in xgettext. To enable me to
reproduce and debug this (because under Unix there is no problem),
can you please tell me which binaries of gettext and libiconv
you use (from which web site).

Trial-and-error. In Germany, the most often used encodings
are ISO-8859-1, ISO-8859-15, WINDOWS-1252 and UTF-8.
