The "cc1" error appears to imply that you don't have the compiler installed.
GCL uses the install C compiler. Try
)set function compile off
and see if the problem goes away.
I'm not sure what the second error is.
I'll have to build an unbuntu 64 machine and see if I can reproduce it.
This will take some time.
It seems that also the second error is related to the compiler.
At least, it seems that _at least_ the second error is related to the
compiler: in this moment I have access only to the second machine (at
home) and turning off the compiler computations are performed.
Tomorrow I will also try on the first machine, but it seems likely that I
will get the same result.
Nevertheless, I am surprised: I thought I installed everything necessary.
Which compiler do I miss? The ones I have are:
[coccobill 22:54:19 ~]$ dpkg -l | grep compiler
ii g++ 4:4.3.1-1ubuntu2 The GNU
C++ compiler
ii g++-4.3 4.3.2-1ubuntu11 The GNU
C++ compiler
ii gcc 4:4.3.1-1ubuntu2 The GNU C
compiler
ii gcc-4.3 4.3.2-1ubuntu11 The GNU C
compiler
ii gcc-4.3-multilib 4.3.2-1ubuntu11 The GNU C
compiler (multilib files)
ii gcc-multilib 4:4.3.1-1ubuntu2 The GNU C
compiler (multilib files)
ii gcl 2.6.7-36.1 GNU
Common Lisp compiler
ii mono-jit 1.9.1+dfsg-4ubuntu2 fast CLI
JIT/AOT compiler for Mono
Thanks
