It means that either:
- - someone answers your question with a way to shut up the Solaris shell,
and we then teach autoconf 2.66 how to write all configure scripts to use
that magic
or
- - we teach autoconf 2.66 how to write all configure scripts to avoid the
Solaris shell as buggy because it is too chatty
It also means:
- - since you probably don't want to wait for autoconf 2.66 to become the
norm for all existing generated configure scripts, you need to use:
CONFIG_SHELL=/path/to/non-chatty/sh /path/to/non-chatty/sh ./configure
as a workaround.
