[www-pl-announce] Konferencja o kształcie ochrony dóbr niematerialnych [sic] krakowskiego ruchu N ie dla ACTA

Witam,

Wczoraj wysłałem na www-pl-discuss list od Kuby Danieckiego odnośnie
konferencji, która ma za cel stworzenie nowych praw patentowych i
autorskich. Przypadkowo nazwali to "dobrami niematerialnymi" zarówno w
nazwie konferencji jak i w dokumencie (mam nadzieję, że poprawią).

W międzyczasie, Richard Stallman osobiście odpisał, że możemy (a nawet
powinniśmy) tam wysłać osoby z GNU. Czy ktokolwiek z tłumaczy mógłby
być w Krakowie w czwartek 26.04?

Stallman będzie w Zagrzebie w poniedziałek, więc może sam wpadnie (to
tylko 16h pociągiem, lub 3h samolotem z przesiadką we Wiedniu ;-) ).

Chciałbym we wtorek (po świętach) odpisać Stallmanowi czy i ile osób
od nas będzie. Pomyślcie o tym.

   Earlier today the GNU Polish Translation Team was contacted by an
   anti-ACTA organization in Poland that would like to organize a
   conference about "nonmaterial property".

They are about to fall into a trap!  The term "nonmaterial property"
is, if anything, even broader than "intellectual property".

The first step in thinking clearly about copyright issues -- or about
trademark issues, which are totally different -- is not to generalize
about them.  Our adversaries know what they are doing when they use
the term "intellectual property".  Because it covers so many unrelated
laws, it distracts attention from all the real issues.

So we should urge them to tackle copyright law and patent law
separately.

   One of the GNU Polish Translation Team members may be able to attend
   the conference. Do you have any suggestions on how to present the
   views contained in the gnu.org essays and articles while maintaining
   that the person presenting is not necessarily an approved spokesperson
   of the FSF?

If you reread all the relevant pages in the days before the event, and
during the event repeat several times that you're not an FSF spokesman
and they can ask us for clarification, that will be much better than
not speaking.

Meanwhile, depending on when they do it, I may be able to go.
And other people from Europe could go.  We can't speak Polish,
so it would have to be English.
