Details:

total program crash. i use arch linux 64 bit. i'm assuming that it's the perl
upgrade thats caused this. error message when typing 
'weechat-curses' in urxvt is :

** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkWindow)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkInvisible)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkObject)
Undefined subroutine &main::buffers_signal_buffer called
