Follow-up Comment #1:

Like other ncurses apps, WeeChat does not add any space between text and
nicklist. Problem is that there's nicklist, which is other window (compared
to irssi for example).
That's why a copy/paste includes blanks (on server buffer you don't have any
blank char).

As a workaround, you can move nicklist to top/bottom, with command:
/set look_nicklist_position = top
With this position, you don't have blank chars any more.

I think there's no other way to do. If you find one, please let me know.
