Details:
When you type a command that WeeChat does not recognize, it should pass it on
to the server. I don't know if this is official IRC guidelines, but a lot of
other clients do it (sounds like a good reason in this instance :).
Example:
On my server we have the m_elmer module loaded for occasional use. This adds
a "Elmer <nick>" command that the server understands. In WeeChat, "/elmer
<nick>" gives "WeeChat Error: unknown command "elmer" (type /help for
help)". The work-around is to send a message to ircd ("/msg ircd elmer ..."),
but this is a little cumbersome next to other IRC clients.
