Patrice - see Arnold's reply below.  I'm fine with @r being a no-op in
Docbook if you are.  (BTW, Arnold is not subscribed to any texinfo list,
so please keep him in cc when replying.  Sorry if I messed that up this
time.)

Of the three, having @r be a no-op is the best choice. I would
like to see lineannotation in the language but I can live without it.
