I don't feel strongly about the SPC character, but the first "filename
line" is lacking the ^L.  For searching and consistency, it seems better
to me if each filename line has it.

$ info -ao /tmp/a automake

And /tmp/a starts with:
/usr/local/gnu/share/info/automake.info-1
