Dear Thomas,

I think the short answer is: we're continuously working on improving our 
documentation, but also on the software/scripting to make it easier to 
do such a setup. The latter takes longer but is usually better in the 
long run.

The same applies to the snack machine setup: we could explain how to get 
the HW to work today, but it has specific troubles and is not cheap. So 
instead, Andreas is working on creating new HW that would be cheaper 
*and* not have some of the issues we have seen. Once that works, well, 
then it should become much easier for others to reproduce the HW setup.

What will help most here would be feedback from people testing our 
tutorials/instructions. I expect that very soon we'll have a first "easy 
GNU Taler deployment" tutorial/script which we've been writing for 
https://Netzbon.ch/. Once that passes our own QA, it would be useful for 
others to try it out and give us feedback -- and that might just be 
(part of) the tutorial you've been asking for.
