Leslie,
quando vi a sua resposta lembrei do substring do Perl.
Eu nem sabia que o bash tinha um man, e que, alias, é sensacional.
Corri pra digitar e ver o que aparecia.

Obrigado mesmo.


Agora queria saber se alguém me diz algo sobre o ls em colunas com um grep.
Acho que não tem solução, a não ser que eu trate isso, jogando a resposta
em alguma variável e imprimindo em colunas.
