I disabled it 2006-12-13 (says ChangeLog), though I didn't mention
why.
As far as I remember the updatedb process was quite ressource
consuming (especially when you're working on SV meanwhile), as it
parses all the CVS/Arch repositories and its numerous files.
What are you using it for?
