When using the Emacs that is installed within Maneage (run within Maneage's
'./project shell'), some time ago a user reported that the back-space key was
acting like the delete key (deleting forward!).
After some inspection, we discovered the following emacs configuration to fix
the problem. We can add a default configuration file for Emacs in Maneage to
have this activated all the time on a new system.
(normal-erase-is-backspace-mode 1)
