Yeah, thanks for your test :) It helped me, I was trying:
set font Terminus 10
(without the '-') it didn't worked, not all's ok with "Terminus-10" :)

Oh yeah, it works :] I wasn't thinking using xft font definition format
but it makes sense! I'm using the old way definition since years and I
wasn't thinking that xft can not handle it!
