Again, this might or might not be the same issue, but there seems to be
a bug with java and resizing with several window managers mentioned at:

 http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/FreeMind_on_Linux

I guess one should try running a free java vm before hunting down these
problems. :/
