[RP] cut-and-paste question

I adjusted Lynx to make it easier to cut and paste the current URL,
as described on this wiki page:

  http://ratpoison.elektrubadur.se/lynx

But I'm noticing something weird: while I can paste URLs I copy this
way into Emacs (running under X), I can not paste them directly into
other programs running under screen.  Seems weird.  I assume this is a
bug in Lynx, but I just thought I'd check in here first...

Any ideas what might be going on?
