I'm trying to debug ratpoison from the debian archive
(ratpoison-1.2.0.cvs.20020425-3) on a
SunOS cent1 5.8 Generic_108528-15 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4
so i did ./configure --with-debug. Unfortunately when I give most rp
commands (C-t : for example), rp segfaults and dumps core. I'm also unable
to gdb it, since that gives

program: /home/rupert/ratpoison-1.2.0.cvs.20020425-3/src/ratpoison
Program received signal SIGTRAP, Trace/breakpoint trap.
Cannot remove breakpoints because program is no longer writable.
It might be running in another process.
Further execution is probably impossible.
