In actions.c, commenting out
1) the setenv entry in user_commands[] around line 76,
2) the setenv() definition around line 2086,
3) and the cmd_setenv() definition around line 2122
make everything work again.
Also, Brian on the "No xterm" thread, this issue manifested itself
on my system by apearing to break the launching of xterm. =)
