Hi there! Thanks for your interest in Ratmenu and Ratpoison.
After you type "make", and create the ratmenu binary executable, it is
simple: copy the executable "ratmenu" file to a directory in your $PATH,
such as /usr/X11R6/bin, /usr/local/bin, or ~/bin
Then do the same thing for the manpage, "ratmenu.1", put it anywhere in
your $MANPATH, such as in /usr/man/man1
That is the complete install. Enjoy!
Here is my ratpoison configuration:

Dear Mr. Walther,
I'm absorbing Linux & Ratpoison's far & away the best

I've downloaded Ratmenu but I'm somewhat mollified to
admit that I don't really know how to make & install
it.
I hope it's not too inappopropriate to ask!
[If it's not -- I'm asking.]
[I should add -- I'm using SuSE 8, not debian, so I
downloaded the .tar.gz, not the debian package.]
Thanks,
John
