Hi!
I'm planning to replace two computers (both Linux/x86_64) by one, running
one of them as a guest under the other one.
Is it possible to dedicate one head (Monitor + Keyboard + Mouse) to the
guest in a way that it fully behaves as a separate machine, i.e. including
BIOS screen, LILO/grub screen, text mode console etc. etc., keeping all
obvious keyboard shortcuts (like Alt+F<n> for switching consoles), mouse
actions etc. ?
Would it require two separate video cards, or is one dual-ouptut card
enough ?
The environment the computers are operated in requires their almost ideal
separation, i.e. it must be almost impossible to use one head to interact
with the other machine (both way - from host to guest as well as from guest
to host). The only allowed interaction is to shutdown/boot the guest from
the host by the root user.
If it's not possible in qemu now, what's the closest possible arrangement ?
With regards,
Pavel
