Mario, I've gone through the code that could cause this problem,
and I don't see how it could happen. That makes me wonder
whether it is a bug in the platform. Can you tell me how you
obtained your copy of PSPP? If you compiled it yourself, then
what did you compile it under (presumably Cygwin or Mingw); if
you downloaded it, where did you download it from?
