Hi,
For all of you who occasionally want to test a package on an architecture
that is not x86 or x86_64:
There are now writeups on how to create a QEMU-based environment suitable
for testing packages, for many platforms. By "environment" I mean a
complete distro, including C and C++ compilers, that you can access
interactively (through a terminal window or ssh). The covered platforms are:
* GNU/Linux on alpha, arm, arm64, hppa, m68k, mips, mips64,
powerpc, powerpc64, ppc64le, riscv64, s390x, sparc64.
* Linux with musl libc on arm64, ppc64le, s390x.
* *BSD on arm, arm64, sparc, sparc64.
You find these writeups here:
https://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=gnulib/maint-tools.git;a=tree;f=platforms/environments
Additionally, there is information about other kinds of test environments here:
https://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=gnulib/maint-tools.git;a=blob;f=platforms/test-environments.txt
Brought to you by the GNU Gnulib project.
Bruno
