Good that it works with this manual workaround.
But I would recommend to rather fix your build files...
Your changes to the make file look rather strange... IIRC only specifying DESTDIR should do it (just like for building Debian packages)

sudo nano /usr/lib/ocaml/ld.conf

and i added

/usr/lib/ocaml/glibivy
