Hi,

the max frequency depends on your baro.
E.g the MS5611 periodic should not be called at more than ~100Hz to ensure proper timing (conversion takes 8.22ms at max resolution).

Not sure what you mean by "From the GCS, I found the baro updates somehow slow."

If you just want to get a baro message via telemetry more often you can set it up to send a message with each measurement.
