You need to fetch the updated package by running:
sudo port selfupdate

In the mean time I have pushed another patch to our port files. The patch 
disables the pprz_v4 default variant. This means it should not require building 
of libopencm3 any more, as we have libopencm3 as a submodule of the paparazzi 
repository. This again depends on the fact if you have fetched the newest port 
files, it might still not be synchronized with the rsync server as it is done 
only once an hour.

Regarding gitter. You just need a github account. Gitter is tightly integrated 
with github, so if you log in into github you are also able to log in into 
gitter without any further account creation. You just have to allow gitter to 
log in.
